    I'm using Qt 4.8.6/7 for some ftp stuff (not found on Qt 5.6?) and initially developing it on win 7 but the code will later run on a Linux server machine. The code has (temporary) hardcoded QUrls like this:

    QUrl urhome ("ftp://ftp.myftp.fi//home//myftp//");

    and these do not work on the linux server machine and must be changed to have only one forward slash. What is the intended platform independent way to build QUrls?

    Thanks a bunch.

      Hi,

      QFtp working for Qt 5 can be found here.

      AFAIK, there's nothing really special you need to do. Have a look at QUrl's detailed documentation
