QPushButton to control an external Led

I have a .cpp file to be executed when I click the pushbutton which could possibly be done through signals and slots, now I'm new to qtcreator and hence not getting the idea how to do it, please help me for the same. The main purpose is to on/off a led connected to a beaglebone black through this pushbutton.
