I've recently installed Qt5.5.1 opensource for windows (x86 msvc2010) and I'm having problems trying to view QML in the QT Quick Designer. Upon trying to open a QML file I get a dialogue window that says "This QML file contains features which are not supported by QT Quick Designer ... Line: 49: Unknown component. (M300)." It then returns me to the qml text editor "Cannot connect to QML Emulation Layer (QML Puppet)": The executable of the QML emulation layer (QML Puppet) may not be responding. Switching to another kit might help." I have tried the following: re installing QT making sure I have all the prerequisites for QT (Windows SDK etc) thoroughly checking the kits I'm using (debuggers etc) different examples using different versions of QT Quick I'm not sure what the issue is and would appreciate some help.
