Unsolved Is scc, the SCXML compiler for Qt, still a thing?
-
Hi there,
Does Qt still support the
scc
tool?I recently started using the QStateMachine, which is amazing, but it's quite laborious setting it up by hand. So when I heard Qt had written uic-like compiler for it, I was thrilled, but it seems to have fallen out of favor. I can't find a whole lot of information on it online.
Are people still using it? Does Qt regularly produce binary distributions of it? If so, why isn't it included in qttools?

I have used scc in a couple of projects with success.
In fact, scc inspired me to start the scxmlcc.org project, which is similar, but it generates generic c++ code instead of Qt specific code.

I've been using Qt for a few years but never realized this tool existed. I think it's safe to say that the tool is no longer maintained.
Would this be a suitable alternative? (It uses the QML language) http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qmlstatemachine.html
