How to get and build Qt 4.8 / Lighthouse? (Git issues?)
-
Hello,
I'd like to have a look at the Lighthouse platform technology. (Assume the 4.8 branch the place to look?)
I've never used Git before, am on Windows 7, and have some git related questions. (I installed the windows Git client as directed by: http://help.github.com/win-set-up-git/ )
What is the correct command line to retrieve some particular branch or tag of Qt?
After setting the http_proxy environment variables, I tried:
@git clone http://git.gitorious.org/qt/qt.git qt@... assuming it would get some sort of sensible default, but it gave me this error:
@$ git clone http://git.gitorious.org/qt/qt.git qt
Cloning into qt...

Thank you

Update:
I've tried to clone a different Git project via a similar command line, and it works fine. Can someone confirm that the Qt repo is working via http?
Thank you

Can you download the tarball ?

The tarball was corrupt too. But I did finally manage to get the files via the alternate jit.gitourious.com url.

Update:
Given that there is now an official 4.8 preview package, I've started a different thread focused on that.
This thread can die, i guess.
