Unsolved getting rid of qt versions prior to v.5
-
On a Raspberry Pi 2, how does one get rid of the version 4.x downloaded by default from the RPi repository while not harming the HOURS already invested in trying to get Qt 5.5.x and all it's important components (like QtCreator and such-like)?
Thanks. -
Hi,
Use
apt-get remove name_of_Qt_4_package_you_want_to_remove
-
I want to remove EVERYTHING about version 4 from the Raspberry Pi 2 and only keep version 5 stuff (limited resources on the pi, don't ya know?)
-
apt-get remove *qt4*
I do know, nothing forbids to use a bigger SD card if place is a problem. Once you installed Raspbian you can tell it to expand and occupy all the space on the card.

Using a 64 Gb card now. df shows it to be 17% full.

So you have about 53GB free, that should be more than enough
