Using third party JavaScript-library in QML

  • Hi together,

Is there a possibility to get an external JS library running within QtQuick without major code-refactoring? This library implements an JS-API to get values from WebSockets which should be presented by QML Controls.

Unfortunately, QtQuicks JS-Engine doesn't support all features a web-browser do. But it would be great to be able to reuse this (>10.000 loc) library within a QML UI. A rewrite is actually not possible..

    So my questions:

    • Is there any alternative JavaScript engine which fits into Qt/QML Context?
    • Ore are there any additional JS libraries to extend the function range of QtQuicks own JS Implementation?

Thank you very much in advance!
    Frime
