Can a phone handle it...?

Can someone help me about my question? for example I created an application with database into it. What if my database has big amount of data then i want my application to be installed on my phone. Can a phone handle a large database?

That would depend on what you regards as "big amount", and how that figure relates to the capabilities of the phone you are talking about...

for instance the size of the database exceeds up to 50mb or above and for a phone like Nokia C6.

sqlite does not have a problem with 50mb.

Obviously this depends on the phone. If it has only 32 GB of storage you're unlikely to install a 40 GB database....
