QGraphicsScene miniature and centered in QGraphView

Hello,
I have a problem with a QGraphicsScene, when I add it to the QGraphView the scene is miniature and centered until I resize the window.. then it takes the full space available.. I have tried using setSceneRect on the view and on the scene but it doesn't appear to have any effect at all... the scene is still miniature and centered until I resize... It this a Qt bug ??

IIRC, you need to call fitInView
