How can I specify which root folder Qt Creator's locator uses when searching in files on the file system ("f" prefix)? For some reasons, my Creator restrict itself to a seemingly arbitrary include folder deep in my source tree.

      Hi,

Just to be sure, are you talking about the "Type to locate" QLineEdit ? If so and unless I'm mistaken, the search start in the folder containing the current selected file.

@SGaist Yes, Type to locate" with prefix "f".

If what you say is true, then "find in files" would be pretty useless to me. My source files are in a deep folder tree. If the current folder of any file is used, I won't be able to search 99 % of my files that way.

I was as surprised as you when I tested but it really looks like it at least on OS X
