OCX works in VB but not in qt

Hi All
I have done a project in VB express and I use ActiveX components
The VB project runs well. Trying to get the ActiveX containers to work in qt is not so good.

I can see the activeX components are giving data back but the driver between the ocx and the hardware seems to fail for some reason.
Any suggestions
