AM cooking a "recipe" for re-installation of Qt/etc., and so far the recipe has me installing one independent MingW compiler, then the recipe indicates that Qt itself has one without explaining why 2 compilers are necessary.

      Thx

        Hi,

you don't need 2 compilers but Qt for MinGW is delivered with his own version of MinGW and (IIRC) you cannot avoid to install it.

In the past some versione of MinGW are not compatible with all version of Qt and this is why the package used to built it is included in the Qt installer

For Qt I suggest to use the one shipped with the installer.
