Ugly app fonts...

Hi,

I've got a qt 4.8.6 app that runs on Windows, Macos and Linux.

I've been using the Linux one quite a bit recently, and have noticed that the font - including in the menu bar and all controls - is butt ugly! it certainly looks nothing like the other apps that I run on my Ubuntu14.04/cairo-dock desktop, which all have that distinctive gtk font. qtcreator itself looks OK though...

I ran qtconfig, but all the fonts available here look the same, ie: the ugly font my app uses. I can change style/size in qtconfig though.

I have also tried deleting ~/.config/Trolltech.conf

Any ideas?

Ok, found that if I go...

sudo /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qtconfig

...qtconfig actually shows a bunch of different looking fonts, ie: appears to be working.

sudo ./MyApp doesn't help though.

Upgrading to Qt5 fixed the problem.
