Soft key buttons — where on real Symbian device?

Hi,
perhaps a silly question. When I have a dialogue open in program run in Simulator, I have it like this:
!http://i056.radikal.ru/1104/51/eed63857d61e.jpg(a)!
and on real N8 it looks like:
!http://i011.radikal.ru/1104/f1/8e68b0334dcd.png(b)!
Apart from querstion why I might get numbers strange (I have some computations that apparently did not work well...) I wonder how I can use these soft buttons that are shown in Simulator but do not appear on the device? Do they correspond to some buttons, gestures etc?
Note that buttons are created using standard buttonBox object.

Some questions:
Which release this is happening in? There were some recent fixes for softkeys in Qt4.7.3.
What is the window state of that dialog?
If the dialog is fullscreen, is the Qt::WindowSoftkeysVisibleHint defined?
