[solved] I can't install SDK 1.1 RC properly.

My problem in a picture: !http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8920/problemfinal.png(error)! ( "bigger picture":http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/8920/problemfinal.png )
My problem in several words: I'm trying desperately to install working version of Qt SDK, but it always give me the error from the picture above. The new version (RC) hasn't changed so much the situation - it gives me just a little more information. Now the error is:
bq. Error during installation process(com.nokia.ndk.tools.simulator.qtmingw): Qt patch error: Can not open C:/QtSDK/Simulator/Qt/mingw/bin/qmake.exe(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.).
I am installing the SDK on a Windows 7 (64 bit) ... the operating system is as clean as possible (some drivers, firefox and Qt) - this is the reason I think it isn't a conflict with something outside the SDK. Maybe bug, maybe not.
Something strange is happening - another installer process has started itself during the installation.
The installation have finished after I press "Ignore" but now in the QtCreator options there is a problem with the Simulator: "Qt version is not properly installed, please run make install".
I will be very happy if somebody is able to help :)

Hope you are trying the installation in administrator mode. I had installed it on Win XP faced no issue.

Yes...I have admin rights while installing it.

Hi,
Please note that Qt SDK 1.1 is still candidate release. Do have the same problem with Nokia Qt SDK 1.0 ? http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/e920da1a-5b18-42df-82c3-907413e525fb/Nokia_Qt_SDK.html
Regards,

same problem for me.
If you wait for 3-5min and click "Retry", then it works. Installation is very slow, and I have to click "Retry" several times during installation process. Antivirus was temporarily disabled, run installation as administrator. Maybe it is some windows services (windows defender?) trying to access files? -
... but installation got into neverending loop on 82%:

I have successfully installed QtSDK 1.1 RC :) I've even found two different solutions to my problem.
1:
Installation in Safe Mode. I couldn't understand which process is using qmake...but obviously it isn't started in Safe Mode. It should be said that I had another problem (it wasn't fatal) - vcredist_x86 couldn't install properly ("the picture in this bug report are similar":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTSDK-430) but I ignored it, the installation finished and now everything is working...I hope :)2:
Replace Windows with Linux :D (I have some questions for Linux and Qt but this would be for another thread).Thank you :)

[/quote]Well done! May be you should report it as a bug because other people may experience the same problem.

That is always an option :) Long live open source ;)
