No valid kits found in opening project
-
Hi,
I am really new to Qt creator etc.
I am trying to open a project file in QT Creator 3.0.1.
I get this message.
No valid kits found.
The Project DST is not yet configured.
The Qt creator uses the Kit Desktop to parse the project.
Please add a kit in the options or via the maintenance tool of the SDK.
Does any body know what I should to move ahead i.e open a project etc.
Thanks,
Hari -
Welcome to DevNet
You need to "add a kit":http://qt-project.org/doc/qtcreator-3.2/creator-targets.html to QtCreator configuration

Hi, and welcome to the Qt Dev Net!
"Qt" and "Qt Creator" are different packages. Did you install Qt?
Also, it looks like you have a very old installation. Where did you download it from?
Since you are new, I recommend getting Qt 5.3.2: http://www.qt.io/download-open-source/ If you are on Windows, get the MinGW package -- it is the easiest to set up.
