QtWebEngineProcess / WebEngine JS Bridge
-
When running an app containing a QtWebEngine view, the app launches alongside a separate "QtWebEngineProcess" app. With Mac OS X 10.10.2, the QtWebEngineProcess app jumps in the dock for quite awhile, minutes. Is this correct behavior?
On a related note, as of 5.4rc, what is the simplest means of communication between C++ and JavaScript in lieu of the simple JavaScript bridge available with Qt WebKit? Due to the deal breaker consistently repeatable 'QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2' crash with Qt WebKit when zooming a Google Maps view, I am hoping to migrate to Qt WebEngine if possible, but need to be able to call JS functions from C++ and vice versa.
Thanks all!
