Installing Qt 4x
-
Hi everyone!
Im developing on a 32bit Ubuntu machine, I have currently installed Qt 5.3.2 (GCC 4.6.1, 32 bit)
Qt Creator 3.2.1, which I installed with the .run file. Now ive Downloaded the 4.7 version, but I cant find any qmake.exe on it. From QtCreator, to create a new kit I need to point to the QMake.exe file, how do I get this file?
Thanks in advance -
If I'm not mistaken Qt4 for Linux is a source code only. So you need to build and install it by your self or use Ubuntu packages if they are still available.

Any idea how to do that, or where to find a guide?

"Install for X11":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/install-x11.html which is Linux. Skip step 1.
"Configure options":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/configure-options.htmlHere is how I built it sometime ago

cd qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.6
./configure -prefix $HOME/Qt4.8.6 -opensource -no-qt3support -qt-sql-sqlite -plugin-sql-sqlite -no-webkit -confirm-license
make
make install
