Displaying position cordinates in a map
-
HI All,
In my Android App, I would like to email another user my current location cordinates. I have retrieved the current GPS cordinates using the QGeoPositionInfoSource module and I can just append the cordinates as a string into an email.
It would be preferable to have a visual way of sharing the cordinates(like a dot on gmap image).
So my question is :
-
Is it possible to create a hyperlink/url with the cordinate info so that when the 2nd user clicks it, the gmaps will open and display the location?
-
Or is it possible to create an excerpt of a map showing the rectangular vicinity around the current location cordinates, and attach this map as an image(jpg) in the email before sending to the second user?
Thanks so much for the help.
