I am writing an UDP client where I have to listen to the multicast address range 239.255.0.1 - 239.255.255.255.

Using the method "joinMulticastGroup" for each individual address takes very long:
For example: On Mac OS X it took several seconds, on Windows 7 it took more than a minute!

I tried it with Qt 4.8.6 and Qt 5.3.2 - no difference.

Is there a more efficient way to join a multicast address range?
