Building Qt 5.4 beta for new board
-
I am building the Qt 5.4 beta for a new ARM board.
I do not have any qmake.conf or qplatformdefs.h in ..../qtbase/mkspecs.devices/...
The nearest board to our board is the beagleboard (our board is based on a new TI omap5 ARM soc). WE do have a TI GLSDK yocto which allows us to build the Qt 4.8, and 5.1 as well as another system which builds 5.2.1.I am thinking of making my own qmake.conf or qplatformdefs.h based on information from the 5.4 beaglebaord: ~/armqt5.4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-5.4.0-beta/qtbase/mkspecs/devices/linux-beagleboard-g++ and information gleaned from TIs GLSDK for my board.
Am I going about this the right way?

Hi,
The simplest is to copy linux-beagleboard-g++ to linux-yourboard-g++ and modify it until works with your device. Depending on how your board is public/used you could even consider submitting your device specs to the Qt project

It is not public yet - everything is under NDA. But thanks for the advice. Will do that.
