Qt5 gujarati font not working in ubuntu

Earlier versions of qt (4.8) supported gujarati fonts fully. We were able to use gujarati fonts in our application based on qt 4.8 in ubuntu as well as windows. Currently we are trying to transition to qt5. But we have been unable to display gujarati fonts in ubuntu while it is successfully displayed in windows.

May be this is due to gujrati fonts are not install on ubuntu.
Try to install them.

Thank you, but we have already installed the fonts as well as we have tried embedding the fonts as resource and using QFontDatabse.

Try this:

@
export QT_QPA_FONTDIR=/home/Sid/fonts
@

where fonts is the directory where your Gujarati font is located.

and then start your application.
