[SOLVED]Updating files on Enginio

  • I simply want to upload and update a file when the corresponding existing local file changes. When uploading files using Enginio two object id's are used, the main object id and the file id. Is it true that for an existing main object every time a file is uploaded, overwriting the current file, a new file id is assigned? If this is true why is this done and why isn't the same file id retained? In this case is the previous file overwritten so multiple versions of the file won't continually be created for a single local file?

Yes, a new file id is created for every file upload. Previously uploaded files are automatically cleaned from servers.
