Point me in the right direction when creating a 2D graphics grid
-
I know C++ and I know some basics of graphical UIs, which is using the designer tool and connecting signals to slots. However, I want to create something like a 2D game board based on grids. In that, I would move a character and if I step on something I shouldn't be stepping on, the game would end. I don't really know where to start though. I know I should use QGraphicsView, but I don't know how to use it to a simple game like this. Are there any extremely simple examples of something like this?

Hi and welcome to devnet,
Maybe not completely directly grid related, but you should have a look at the "Graphics View Examples" chapter in Qt's documentation. It should give you some bases to start on
Hope it helps
