Hi,Need qt 4.8 IDE online installer or offline installer .I could not find them in the downloads.i found only the tar and the zip files.

AFAIK there is no installer for Qt 4.8 for Linux. You need to build it.

"QtCreator":http://qt-project.org/downloads#qt-creator has an installer and QtCreator can be used with Qt4 and Qt5, and maybe Qt3 (I have never tested it)

Qt Creator is not Qt. To clarify: Which of the following do you want?

Qt Creator (the IDE)

Qt (the libraries)

Both of the above

Go to http://qt-project.org/downloads and click "Show Downloads". Scroll down.

You will find an offline installer for Qt Creator 3.1.2 -- this can be used for Qt 4 and Qt 5

There is no installer for Qt 4.8. You need to build it yourself.

Is there a reason you want Qt 4.8 instead of Qt 5.3?
