    I'm on chapter 2 of " C++ GUI Programming with Qt 4".

    All widgets in class FindDialog are allocated on the heap.

    Won't it be better to wrap all the pointers-to-widgets in std::unique_ptrs, and not have to worry about explicitly deleting them in the destructor?

      You do not have to delete widgets, or any other QObjects yourself. The parent QObject will always delete all it's children when it is being destroyed.
