Problem with Visual Studio 2013, Qt 5.3, and the Qt Application project
-
I am having a problem creating new Qt projects using Visual Studio Premium 2013.
Installed Qt 5.3 and the VS add in using the following:
qt-opensource-windows-x86-msvc2013_64-5.3.0.exe
qt-vs-addin-1.2.3-opensource.exeAfter installation, I started Visual Studio and using the QT5->Set QT Options menu, added the QT version just installed.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open Visual Studio
- Select Menu item: FILE->New->Project…
- Select the Qt5 Projects template, Qt Application, and give project a name (e.g. Qt5AppTest)
- Accept all defaults
The first time through the above sequence everything works fine.
Try it a second time to create a new project (e.g. QtAppTest2), and a Visual Studio error dialog appears with the following text:
“Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.”The “Qt Console Application” template seems to work fine with repeated project creations.
I uninstalled both Qt and the add-in, then reinstalled both. Once again, the very first project creation succeeds.
Anyone else seen this behavior?

I am having the exact same problem. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled QT.
I accidentally deleted my QT directory instead of uninstalling it the 1st time. Could this be contributing to the problem?

Hi guys,
I'm trying to develop a console application for serial communication using Qt5.3.1 and Visual Studio 2013, but I'm always getting the following message:
Timers can only be used with threads started with QThread ..........
I tried many ways to solve the problem but I didn't obtain a solution.
Could you give me some advice to solve that problem ?Here is the code I have up to now:
