Installation of latest version Qt

But am not able to create new project when Qt is installed.
while creating a project it is asking to create kit .
Please help me..

Hi, it seems that something went wrong during install.
Usually, the settings (Tools -> Options -> Build & Run...) including the Kits will be completed during setup.
Perhaps "Configuring Qt Creator ":http://qt-project.org/doc/qtcreator-3.1/creator-configuring.html will help.

You can uninstall and install from the start. If you are using Windows try to clean the registry and install the compiler you prefer. If you are using MAC, be sure you have the Xcode installed.

Hi..,
I installed the qt creator opensource for windows.I just double clicked on the link set up gets running it asked me for default location i have given C Drive then it completed to finish.
Then i started new project at that time it is asking me to create Kit.

You need to download a complete Qt package, Qt Creator is only the IDE

ya i installed the complete package for Qt,now am installing the windows kit 8.0.Is this correct or not.

Uninstall Qt Creator.

Download and install "Qt 5.3.0 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW 4.8.2, OpenGL, 734 MB)" (or, if you already have Visual Studio 2013, download "Qt 5.3.0 for Windows 32-bit (VS 2013, 626 MB)" )

No, you don't need to install Windows Kit 8.0.

However, if you installed Qt 5.3.0 for Windows 32-bit (VS 2013), then you need to install Visual Studio 2013 (the Express version is enough).

If you installed "Qt 5.3.0 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW)", then you don't need anything else.

When i install the qt-open-windows-x86-mingw482_opengl-5.3.0.exe it geting an error that C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\qt-open-windows-x86-mingw482_opengl-5.3.0.exe is not a valid win32 application.Please solve my problem.

Maybe your download got corrupted. Have you tried downloading the file again? Also, turn off your antivirus temporarily.

As JKSH said, did you try to download the fresh copy of Qt (Downloaded completely) and try to install?

It would be interesting to know if you have problems still.
