Dialogs over QMediaPlayer with QVideoWidget only displaying borders. Interior shows video image behind it.

I have an application that plays a selected video and allows the user to designate a clip from that to be processed. When the processing is being done, I display a dialog to indicate to the user what is being done. The problem is that the dialog does not show any of the text I have specified, only a border and title bar. The interior shows the section of the video over which the dialog was drawn. These are just straight forward QMessageBox objects. The About dialog and About Qt dialog from the Help menu work as expected.
This is on Arch Linux using the latest available Qt, 5.3.0. This has been an issue since before 5.3, but took lower priority.

Hi,
Did you took a look at the "bug report system":http://bugreports.qt-project.org to see if it something known ? If not please consider opening a new report providing a minimal compilable example showing the misbehavior.
