Build and Run environments

What build and run environments should I choose if I want to make sure my application works on other Linux machines running the same OS(Ubuntu)?
Why is it that when I put the run environment as "Clean Environment" I am no longer able to start my application from within the Qt Creator IDE?

It is possible that Qt libraries are not installed on your system (not installed in system paths, that is), so when you disable the smartness of Qt Creator, your application will not start.
You can install Qt 5 from your distro packages, or follow "the deployment guide":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/linux-deployment.html.

I did a bit more testing, and the application will run if I add a variable for "Display"
I set it to " :0 "Does this have something to do with x11 settings?

Certainly looks like it. Although I've never actually encountered a problem like this one.
