WebView cursor bug still not fixed?
-
I just downloaded Qt Creator for the first time in a few years and I'm pleasantly impressed. Very nice interface and the little Html5ApplicationViewer demo project fires right up. However, it appears there is a "bug Html5ApplicationViewer class that was reported over a year ago.":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-11068 I'm pretty unfamiliar with the Qt community, but I'm shocked that this kind of "low hanging fruit" (regardless of how "low priority" it may be) is still unaddressed after a year. Am I missing something? Is there any other way to get this demo app working other than forking the dang Qt library code and making a patch? Thanks folks.

Hi and welcome to devnet,
From a quick overlook the Html5ApplicationViewer class is designed for mobile use where the hover events doesn't really make sense. So can it be really considered a bug ? I know it sounds philosophical.
You don't need to fork Qt Creator for that, just edit the template with the modification in you installation folder.
If you want to discuss the issue more you can go on the #qt-creator irc channel or the mailing list. You'll find there Qt Creator developers/maintainers.
The Qt community does it's best to fix bugs and issues but there are only so many developers and contributors, so some issues might slip out of sight.
