Unable to create a project in Qt 5.2.1!

Hi,
I downloaded the "Qt 5.2 SDK":http://download.qt-project.org/official_releases/qt/5.2/5.2.1/qt-opensource-windows-x86-mingw48_opengl-5.2.1.exe and installed it on my Windows7 64 bit PC.

What is this!!!
I am also unable to open my projects created in Qt 4.8.1.Please request somebody to guide me what might be wrong?

You have to configure the Kits.

What is this Kits?
And how do I configure it?
I am new to this concept so please provide some references so that I can learn about it... -

you must configure Qt Creator to work with your system:
Tools > Options > Build & Run > Kits > Add -
Qt Creator is automatically able to detect the kit, but still I am not able to create projects.

Did you try the wizard to make a new project?
bq. I am also unable to open my projects created in Qt 4.8.1.
You installed Qt5 which is another major release compared to Qt4. You will need to port your projects. See the"porting guide ":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/portingguide.html
