QWinThumbnailToolbar does not show the thumbnail using Remote desktop

I implemented the QWinThumbnail toolbar as shown in the examples ("Qt Windows Extras Overview":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/qtwinextras-overview.html).
During a Remote Desktop session I noticed that the thumbnail does not show, the title does. And that is not only my application but all applications.
Has anyone an idea why that is?
With a drag and drop of Tabs ("Movable tabs":http://www.qtcentre.org/wiki/index.php?title=Movable_Tabs) where I put a thumbnail image on the cursor I have the same behavior. No thumbnail in the Remote Desktop session.
