      Hi

I have recently moved on to the Windows 8.1. My code, which used to work perfectly in xp, is giving me the folowing message

      • SHIMVIEW:Shiminfo(complete)

Can anyone help me by telling what does it stand for?

      Thanks

      Regards
      Alok

The message is nothing to do with Qt. It comes from something in your Visual Studio environment associated with running an executable.

You do not tell us if your code is performing correctly on Windows 8.1 and, if not, what it is doing.

This message means that (for whatever reason) Windows is applying compatibility shim to your app. Right-click on the executable, select properties and look if something is enabled in the compatibility tab.
