    Hi all,

I am working on medium size project. When I do one line change, it needs to rebuild (clean, run qmake then build) whole project. Without rebuild, my changes will not include in the project while debugging. It takes more time to build everything. Here, 10 modules there. each module have their own .pro and .pri files. What is the best way to manage it?

Identify which part of your build process is misbehaving and fix it. Make is clever enough to just update the changed files - if that does not work out of the box, you are probably doing some custom steps like copying the libraries by hand/ script, etc.

And if you can't fix that, or do not want to do it, switch to faster tools:

        • clang usually compiles about 20% faster than g++
        • QBS can be even an order of magnitude faster than qmake + make
        • IO is much faster on Linux than on Windows
