    Hello,

Is it possible to make resizing of a docked widget take place after mouse release? Same as opaque resizing of the QSplitter?

    Thanks.

I've seen this done in one application and it does not look like any hack.

There's been a "request":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-14667 for this in the past but it seems long forgotten.

Indeed this is very useful when the dock panel contains many controls.
Tempted to buy a license and modify source code so there's an attribute to set. ;-)

You don't need to buy a license to modify Qt source code.
            Here is a "repository":https://qt.gitorious.org/qt
or "source code for 5.3 beta":http://download.qt-project.org/development_releases/qt/5.3/5.3.0-alpha/single/

But if you do, depending on the license you choose, you should make your alterations open source.

Ok I will wait for version 5.3 and see if they get this feature there.
