I am writing plugins for Maya 2014 using QT. Maya requires that we use QT 4.8.2 with their own include files that ships with the product. How do I set up QT Creator to use this version of the library?

Qt Creator can work with any Qt version, and supports using multiple Qt versions in parallel.

Go to Qt Creator->Tools->Options->Build & Run->Qt Versions and add your Qt 4.8.2 build.

Then you need to create a new Kit (Qt version + compiler combo) in Qt Creator->Tools->Options->Build & Run->Kits.

I am in Qt Creator. I don't see Qt Creator->Tools->Options->Build & Run->Qt Versions. I see up to Qt Creator->Tools. But there is no Options under this menu.

Look around, then. On Mac, it is located in Qt Creator->Preferences.

You must mean Qt Creator->Preferences->Build & Run...
