QT integration with Maya 2014 on Mac OSX



  • I am trying to find a solution for my tool pipeline that I can't determine if QT can address. Wondered if anyone here might have some ideas.

    I have written a OpenGL 3D engine in C++. and have successfully created a standalone editor in cocoa. It works ok. But I want to take a new approach.

    I would like to build a new editor that is integrated into Maya as a plugin. The trick here is, I want my engine to be driving the scene data in its own OpenGL window and at the same time have access to Maya's active scene and Maya's api. Has anyone ever QT to do something similar? And if so, would you be willing to share some of your wisdom?
