How to stop a widget from resizing

Hi,
I have created two dockable windows using QDockWidget and tabified them to the bottom. Now height of one dockable window is greater than another one so the smaller dockable window gets expanded to the height of bigger dockable window . So what i want is to restrict the height of bigger dockable window so that both windows are of same size.
I dont want to use setmaxheight or setfixed size functions.

Use a spacer in the layout. Then when the widget is totally displayed, it will not increase size.
