Qt Creator 5.2.1 does not start
-
Hi, I have installed Qt 5 using this guide https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtdoc/android-support.html; when I start Qt Creator, from command line, I get this error
/Qt5.2.1/Tools/QtCreator/bin$ ./qtcreator
Segmentation fault (core dumped)I'm on Ubuntu 13.10 x86, any help are apreciated

If you run "ldd qtcreator" in Terminal does it look ok?
EDIT: Because Ubuntu 13.10 comes with Qt 5.0.2 preinstalled, this sometimes can cause "DLL Hell" with another version of Qt, so it's a good idea to check what .so files you're loading.

Thank you for helping
I see there are some wrong path, like /Qt5.2.1/Tools/QtCreator/bin/./../lib/qtcreator/././libicudata.so
can you possibly tell how to fix?
-
Actually /Qt5.2.1/Tools/QtCreator/bin/./../lib/qtcreator/././libicudata.so is a correct path :-)
(That path looks a bit strange due to qtcreator's RPATH set to $ORIGIN/../lib/qtcreator, i.e. the ELF file is in one directory and the .so files it needs are in another).
Just to make sure, you're on a 32bit Ubuntu, so your QtCreator should be 32 bits as well, you could check, type "file qtcreator"
Also maybe show more messages from that segmentation fault you get when you start qtcreator.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-sdk-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qtdeclarative5-devthen following the guide https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtdoc/android-support.html it works
