Clicking issues on several Qt programs running on XP.

Hi,
I have a quite puzzling issue here, I have been using several Qt programs (VLC, VirtualBox, Comix, QtWeb) for the last three years without a single issue. But recently I installed just to try some Qt based programs and since then, there's no single Qt program without problems, so i uninstalled every Qt program only leaving VLC, VirtualBox, Comix, QtWeb, but issues still there .
By example VLC, if i press play, I can't left click on the menu dialogs, and if I left click the menu, can't left click other places, the same happen on the other three VirtualBox, Comix, QtWeb, and I am quite puzzled, as those worked perfectly in the past, and seems pretty clear that something was done by the other programs. Aside of that keyboard shortcuts work fine as ever.
Is there any library, libraries, or something else that can be affecting the behavior of all the Qt programs, and could be left by the other (uninstalled) programs?
Because I don't like the idea of killing my current XP install and reinstalling everything again.
Any advice will be welcome.

A small update,
Definitely something happened when installing some of these Qt programs, I googled all the evening for something that looked like my issue, but without results.
So I tried to create a new user account on my XP machine, and voilà, in the new account all my Qt programs worked like a charm. So I suspect that it can or should be something related to the registry, user shared libraries, or anything of the like. So it is clear that something messed things up.
If anyone wants to take a look at this, I think I will keep this user account at least two or three weeks, and can provide all the info requested. But sooner or later I will move all data to a new user account.

Perhaps one of the programs added itself to your user PATH, and then all the other programs started linking to its DLLs instead of the correct ones.
But recently I installed just to try some Qt based programs...
IMHO, the best way to avoid this issue in the future is to use a disposable VM to "try out" new software. Only install them in your main machine if you want to use them long-term.
