    I'm new to qt.I'm currently using qt 5.2 .I'm trying to create a test Bluetooth app on my desktop that connects with other Bluetooth enabled devices for communication .the problem I'm having occurs when I use the qbluetoothlocaldevice::isvalid() command returns false all the time and my PC is Bluetooth enabled.
    my code snippet:
    QBluetoothLocalDevice mydevice;
    if (mydevice.is valid()){
    printf("A");
    }
    else {
    printf("B");}

    my result: B

    please help

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      Without any more information about the OS, I suppose you are trying that on windows.

      Currently the bluetooth supported platforms are Linux with Bluez >= 4 and Blackberry, support for android is scheduled for 5.3

          No, it means that you currently need to use Windows bluetooth api directly
