Unable to scroll horizontally in QListView
-
I have a QListView with isWrapping set to true, and I am unable to scroll horizontally unless my mouse cursor is directly on the scrollbar.

Hi and welcome to devnet !
Can you elaborate a bit more on this ? What version of Qt are you using ? On what OS ? What is your use case ?
-
Hi thx for the welcome!
I'm using Qt 5.2, on arch linux 64bit. I'm trying to list a bunch of files, like a file browser. I noticed this seems to be the default behaviour as well when I open a file choose dialog with Qt.
-
If you use one of your system's program that has a list view, does it do the same ?
-
I downloaded a Qt file manager app http://www.qtfm.org and it has the same problem, unable to scroll unless the mouse pointer is directly over the horizontal scrollbar. I also notice the same issue in Qt Assistant.
I normally use thunar as my file manager, it does not have this problem.
-
Then it might be related to your window manager. What desktop environment are you using ?
-
Openbox.
-
Can you switch to another desktop environment to check whether it's specific to Openbox ?
-
I've just tested this on windows 7, and I get the same behaviour.
-
Then you should check the "bug report system":http://bugreports.qt-project.org to see whether it's something known.
If not, please open a new report providing a minimal compilable example that shows the behavior.

Thank you, can you also post the link to the report here ? So other people coming across this post can see it
