Connecting HTML/JavaScript page to Qt
-
Hey there,
I have created a page in HTML/CSS/JavaScript to act as a start page to my browser which is written in Qt C++. My html page has a button on it, when this button is clicked, I would like my browser to make a new tab in the tab widget, populate that tab with a child widget, and finally set the URL of the webView (located in the child widget). Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible. "QtWebkit Bridge":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.0/qtwebkit/qtwebkit-bridge.html

okay the webkit bridge tutorial looks nice, but it seems like it might be overkill for what I am trying to do. All I need to do is have the JS in the HTML file send a signal and a bunch of data to the Qt C++. Is there anyway to send a signal and a bunch of data without getting as complicated as the webkit bridge does?
