Designer plugins not loaded in Creator in MinGW based installation
SwissKnife last edited by
I have installed the "Qt 5.2.0 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW 4.8, OpenGL, 689 MB)" version.
When compiling and installing designer plugins, the built in Qt Designer (Qt5Designer.dll) doest NOT load plugins.
The stand alone designer (designer.exe) does load the plugins.
The problem is based on the fact that the Qt Creator and all components are compiled with VS2010, but the stand alone designer is compiled with MinGW 4.8.
I have compiler Qt Creator with MinGW 4.8, and with this version, the Qt5Designer.dll does load the plugins.
Isn't it possible to have a Qt Creator built with MinGW in the "Qt 5.2.0 for Windows 32-bit (MinGW 4.8, OpenGL, 689 MB)" package? With this package installed, the plugin usage would work like a charm.
Hi and welcome to devnet,
IIRC there was a discussion about this on the interest mailing list. You might want to check the archives, and if I'm wrong, post a message there (don't forget to first subscribe)
