Qt Designer Standalone vs. Qt Designer Embedded in Qt Creator

Hi,
I installed the binaries for Qt 5.2.0 including the Qt framework and Qt Creator. I built the Qwt plugin and after installing it t in the correct directory was able to get Qt Designer standalone working with Qwt. However, when I install the Qwt library in the directory pertaining to the designer app embedded in Qt Creator, when I launch designer within Creator, it crashes. The error seems to have to do with a pixmap. Any ideas what might be going on. Why would there be differing behavior with Creator standalone and Creator embedded?
