MFC to qt
-
Hi,
I used to program with Visual C 6.0. After changing from XP to Windows 8.1 I installed a test-Version of Visual Studio 2013. But since I don't feel like spending over 600€ I'm looking for an alternative. I found the
"MFC to Qt Migration - Walkthrough ":http://doc.qt.digia.com/solutions/4/qtwinmigrate/winmigrate-walkthrough.html. But it starts with:
Getting StartedLoad the project file qtmfc1.dsp
But there is no link to this project.
I also wanted to install the visual studio plugin, but it doesn'works with the test-version of visual studio 2013
Any help?

Hi and welcome to devnet,
It's normal that the plugin doesn't work, Visual Studio Express doesn't allow the use of plugins. However you can use Qt Creator for your Qt development.
The first question is, are you planning on migrating a MFC application to Qt or just to learn Qt ?
-
No, I mean Test-Version not Express. AFAIK the Test-Version is equal to the normal Version but it runs only for 3 month. First I want to migrate old projects to QT and than start new projects directly with qt, so I want both.

If I'm not mistaken you can find the example sources on "gitorious":https://qt.gitorious.org/qt-solutions/qt-solutions/source/80592b0e7145fb876ea0e84a6e3dadfd5f7481b6:qtwinmigrate

The last changes for the src are from may, so I don't think that it is adapted to Visual Studio 2012 jet. But there is still the other question, where do I find qtmfc1.dsp ?
-
I think it's the one called qtmfc.dsp in the mfc example subdirectory step1
This solution was developed for Qt 4, so indeed VS 2012 didn't exists at that time but I think the functionality in itself is still valid.
