Width of first column increases unexpectedly in QColumnview

Hello,
I am using QColumnview for displaying all the files and folders of my partitions on MAC system. It works fine but when i try to click on the items of the QColumnview, the width of first column increases which looks weird. so can any one tell how could i solve this problem.I am using this:
@ui->columnview->setModel(proxymodel);
ui->columnview->setRootIndex(proxymodel->mapFromSource(fileSystemModel->setRootPath(path)));@where proxymodel is QSortFilterProxyModel and fileSystemModel is QFileSystemModel.
