[SOLVED] Using QtSQL or Reading/Writing to files
-
Hello,
I am a bit new and have a basic question. I have an embedded board that I am running my UI off of. I have some data and minor data manipulation. Currently, I have been dealing with data by just reading and writing to .txt files and parsing the information whenever I needed to use it back in the UI. I have always wondered if it is better to just use SQL to manage the data. I feel like this would be easier for using and manipulating the data. I also feel that it makes the application more scalable. I just wanted to know if there were any downsides to doing this such as worse performance for embedded systems or is t just an overkill? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
Unless you are starting to make complex queries on a big database, you shouldn't really have performance problem.
The best thing is to try it
