Best practice navigating between QML Windows
lfxciii last edited by
I've been looking at a lot of posts about navigating between QML windows. There's adding the QML windows to a VisualItemModel and then setting the visualItemModel.currentIndex property, and there's loading the window via a loader object.
Does anyone have a best practice to achieve this goal? I don't want the GUI to slow down because of a lot of windows that's rendered but not used. Even better, if someone can explain to me exactly when a QML window is rendered/painted on the screen and when it will start taking up system resources I'd appreciate it.

Do you mean visual items or views? Please read "the document":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtqml/qml-qtqml-models2-objectmodel.html
And you should read the document related to scene graph.
